Niko connected Zigbee® products
The Niko connected Zigbee® products are primarily destined to be used within a Niko Home Control environment. Their use is subject to the Niko Home Control terms of use.
Software updates
To guarantee the correct functioning of the Niko connected Zigbee® products, your installation should always be upgraded the latest software version. Software upgrades can only be installed when the Zigbee® devices have been linked to a Niko Home Control solution. You must always accept and install upgrades or safety patches provided by the Niko Home Control programming software or Niko Home app. If you choose not to make/maintain a connection with Niko Home Control, or perform the updates, the correct functioning or safety of these products cannot be guaranteed.
Use in third-party systems
The Niko connected Zigbee® products can, at the user’s own risk and with limited functionality (as a standard Zigbee® device), be added to and used within third-party Zigbee® networks. Modifications to existing functionalities and parameters in the Zigbee® private clusters of the devices are not allowed and are performed at the user’s own risk. If these affect the proper functioning or safety of the Niko connected Zigbee® products, it may void your warranty.
Niko is not responsible for the functioning and safety of the Zigbee® devices in case these are used outside of a Niko Home Control environment or when they are connected to a third-party device that is not managed by Niko and on which Niko has no control. In said situation, Niko cannot offer software updates for these products.
Network and security
Niko uses encryption technology to encrypt the communication between your Niko Home Control devices. To use these devices, you should have an active internet connection. You are personally responsible for the proper functioning and security of your home network as to avoid unauthorised access by third parties.

De Niko connected Zigbee® producten zijn primair bestemd om te worden gebruikt binnen een Niko Home Control omgeving. Het gebruik ervan is onderhevig aan de Niko Home Control gebruiksvoorwaarden.
Software updates
De correcte werking van de Niko connected Zigbee® producten veronderstelt dat u steeds beschikt over de laatste softwareversie voor uw oplossing. Installatie van deze software updates kan enkel indien de apparatuur is gekoppeld aan een Niko Home Control oplossing. Niko updates of veiligheidspatches die ter beschikking worden gesteld in de NHC configuratie software of Niko App dient u altijd de accepteren en installeren. Kiest u ervoor de koppeling met Niko Home Control niet te maken, niet in stand te houden of de updates niet uit te voeren, dan kan de correcte werking of de veiligheid niet worden gegarandeerd.
Gebruik in systemen van derden
De Niko connected Zigbee® producten kunnen, op risico van de gebruiker, ook met beperkte functionaliteit (als standaard Zigbee® device) in Zigbee® netwerken van derden worden toegevoegd en gebruikt. Wijzigingen aan bestaande functionaliteiten en parameters in de Zigbee® private clusters van de apparatuur zijn niet toegestaan en gebeuren op eigen risico. Ze kunnen tot gevolg hebben dat U niet langer van de garantie geniet, indien hierdoor de goede werking of veiligheid wordt aangetast.
Evenmin staat Niko in voor de werking en veiligheid van de Zigbee®-apparatuur indien deze wordt gebruikt buiten een Niko Home Control-omgeving of wanneer deze worden gekoppeld met een derde partijsysteem dat niet door Niko wordt beheerd en waarover zij geen controle heeft. Het is in deze situatie voor Niko niet mogelijk om software updates voor de producten aan te bieden.
Netwerk en beveiliging
Niko maakt gebruik van encryptietechnologie om de communicatie tussen apparatuur van uw Niko Home Control te versleutelen. Om de apparatuur te gebruiken, dient u te beschikken over een actieve internetverbinding. U bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor de goede werking en het beveiligen van uw (thuis)netwerk om toegang door onbevoegde derden te vermijden.
